We also felt that being honest with our stakeholders was a really good policy. We had an idea for a web site and we selected a firm that told us that they had tons of experience in the realm of Web 2.0 and social networking and that they could serve as a technology partner. Unfortunately, the deliverable did not live up to our expectations and, as you can imagine, led to lots of big headaches. However, we learned a TON of invaluable lessons and will take them with us as we move forward. We also used humor to get us through this 'setback.'
