Our Story
Hi, I'm Craig, founder of connexted. Our business started when I was asked the rather direct question: "What do you think of our website?" Normally, the polite person inside me would have said I thought it was good but for some reason that day I decided to be honest. "It's a good start, but it has so much potential. You should be doing this, this, and this."
Two months later I had to give up my day job teaching English in Spain because of the number of personal referrals I was getting. The more I thought about it, the more my vision crystallised and a challenge had been thrown before me.
Our Passion
Connexted was started for two main reasons:
- I was tired of seeing small businesses fail on the internet.
- I was sick of Internet Marketers claiming all the answers and delivering nothing.
We stand for the small business person and want to help them succeed. I am a small business person after all! I've experienced the difficulty of finding help and expertise that you don't have to pay through the nose for.
Therefore, our passion is making you successful on the internet.
Our Frustrations
Personally, I'm disgusted by the Internet Marketing industry. Sure, not everyone is bad news, but a large majority are get-rich-quick schemes and I can't stand it.
I'm also fed up with web designers that don't know the first thing about selling products on the internet. Sure, it looks pretty, but does it achieve its objectives? In addition, every web designer now seems to be a Search Engine Optimisation guru, but all they do is stuff a few keywords on your page and may cause you more harm than good.
The bottom line is the inexperienced small business person can't tell the difference. Rip off? Or business saviour? 80/20 chance I think!
